The PRY12 Gage is actually located a Blackhawk Rd. bridge, on the northeast side, across from the Mulford Rd. jog-over intersection (see red on image). The PRY12 gage is owned by the Winnebago County - Highway Department.

Terry Dodge is a local Kishwaukee River, smallmouth bass fisherman, who has spent over 50 years wade fishing and kayak fishing, the Kishwaukee River; in Winnebago County, IL. Terry's wading boots have walked upon over 95% of the Kish's riverbed, his kayak (Brandy)  has covered 100% of the Kish, including the south branch in, Winnebago County, IL. Terry spent a10 year span focusing and learning about the Kish levels and what lies beneath its' waters. In 2010 Terry discovered the USGS river level gages and began keeping a river level log  on the,USGS,  PRY12 gage, near Perryville Rd.  Terry is also a blinded U.S. Marine Corps veteran and plans to continue wade fishing the Kish into total blindness, should that time ever come.

Knowing everything about the river is a must.
