720 IS A GO 4 ME

Hit the Kish on a solo 2 hour wet-wade. The area in which I chose is an area that has very little current and is safe to wade at this high PRY12 level of 7.20ft. The water is still pretty stained, but I started off with a topwater popper as it is what I had tied on. No action on top, so I switched to a tube. Couldn't find any action on the tube so I tried other such things as a Buzzbait and a Swimjig. Still no action so I just stuck to switching back and forth form the tube and the popper. There were a few downed trees along the bank on my up-stream wade which made it difficult to continue up-stream, as these trees would force me into deeper water if I were to try and maneuver around them, and I just didn't feel comfy with that so I turned and waded down-stream to an eddie where I picked up one (1) tough ass smallmouth (on 1st cast of a tube into the eddie) that put up one heck of a fight for the 12 or 13 inches that it may have taped at if I would have taped it. I was a bit excited after picking the smallie up on the first cast and thought I might land a few more nicer ones from this eddie. Nothing ever goes the way it's suppose too and that one smallie would be it for me. I did pick up one of them big ass stinky pikes (27-30 inches) which probably explains why I didn't land anymore smallmouth. Happy not to get skunked.
Looking for the bite to pick-up as the water levels drop.
