It was a nice warm March day so I decided to walk the banks of Kilbuck to see if the smallmouth had begun their migration into the little creek. I had a green GM tube tied on with a 1/16oz bullet weight. I hit all my go to spots as I made my way upstream. I would stop at a spot and make 3 to 5 casts, if nothing would hit right away then I would move on to the next spot. It was a tough bite but I did manage to pull one (1) 15 inch smallies out from under a log. He didn't really hit it, just kind of picked it up and started moving upstream. I lowered my rod tip, he tugged, and I set the hook. Quick pic and off to work.
