Things fired up in July. Kicked off the month with a plant shutdown at work, so I had plenty of free time to get out. I ended up mainly fishing the north branch of the Kishwaukee. Not that I didn't I didn't try on the south, I did, but the north just seemed to be where the bite was. I ended up landing 62 smallies for the month and feel that the numbers could have been much higher had it not been for the heat. It was a pretty hot month with many days reaching into the 90's.
