The month of August kicked ass!
Good numbers and good size.
The tube shined throughout the month. I still have not found a topwater bite good enough to keep my interest. Not sure why that is? I'll fish a top lure for a while and just can't seem to find much action.
Tie on a tube and tap, tap, BOOM! Fish on.
Spent a lot of good quality time with Brandy on both the south branch and north branch. While floating the north branch with a buddy, I hooked into a good fighting 19 inch smallmouth that took Brandy and myself for a bit of a ride.
That was exciting.
I ended up bringing to hand 71 smallmouth for the month many of which were of good quality taping at or over the 15 inch mark. I lost quite a few what felt like big smallies and hope to have that problem solved when I cast my line to September flow.
A few pics from the month........
