2016 ISA Silent Auction Winner Guide Trip

Met up with my 2016 ISA Silent Auction Winner, Dick G.

The plan was to spend the day wading the Kish south branch. Upon stepping foot into the water of the south branch, I could see that there was a stain to the water. The water kind of had the look of a real weak coffee, or a real strong ice tea. Kind of a rusty look. The stain is of no concern as this happens on the south when the water level gets too low. The stain made for a super tough bite and Dick was to only manage this one smallie.......

We stepped foot out of the south and headed for the north branch in Boone County where I knew for certain the waters would be flowing clear.

The north was flowing gin clear and Dick nailed this 14 inch smallie on his first cast into the north branch water......

Dick brought to hand many smallmouth as we made our way upstream.

We reached our turn around point and Dick decided to get into a battle with a 25" pike.....

We worked our way back to the takeout and Dick end his day in the double digits using a little wormmy thing on a 1/16oz jig head. I got spanked with the tube and topwater and ended the day with a skunk. Dick's day on the Kish turned out pretty good and he was happy to have finally fished the much talked about Kish.

Dick ended his day with a 15" smallmouth....
