I'm Baaaackk!!!

Well it's about damn time!
The Kish water level had finally dropped down to a level where I could access my 'High Water' spot.
I made my way down to my access point which of course was a big muddy mess. Not only was it muddy but it was also on a down sloped hill leading into the river, so that made things quite interesting for me. I always fish this access point from the land before stepping foot in water. I can usually pull out a couple at the access point before starting my wade.
I ended up going 4 for 7 smallmouth on the the Ned Rig, with the biggest smallie going a tad over 16 inches. It was fun working the 'Slip & Slide' and fighting smallies.

Things kind of died off for a bit so I tied on a tube bait (0-hits), and I also gave a topwater some workout time on the water (0-hits).
I switched back to the Ned Rig and picked up a few more smallmouth and even a couple rock bass. I ended up going 11 for 17 at my 'High Water' spot.
Just as I was about to head for home, my buddy Paul (fellow ISA member) shows up and offers to let me tag along with him on his 'Bridge Hop' outing.
We hit 3 bridges, each caught fish at the first bridge, Paul hooked into a couple at the second, and we each got blanked at the third. Called it a day as the rain began to fall.

I was pretty happy with my first 2019 outing on the Kish. I ended the day going 12 for 18 and was very pleased to see that the rain didn't develop as that weather person thought it might.
If the rain can hold off the next couple days, next week will be fun.
