Well it's nice to see that we are moving away from the rain pattern we've been stuck in all year. Water levels are still running a foot high and looking like chocolate milk. I think I'm just going to stick with wading my high water spot until the levels come down another 5 inches then I'll focus on getting out with Brandy more often.
I did make it down to my high water spot for an evening wade. I was kind of excited to get out after receiving a Berkely Choppo90 in the mail that afternoon. If you don't know the Choppo90 is just a knockoff of the Whopper Plopper. I can tell you that it doesn't work in chocolate milk. I did have one little guy chase it but couldn't get on the hook. Tied on a Ned-Rig and picked up one (1) little guy but decided that I wanted to change over to a TR tube as the Ned was getting snagged too much on the rocky river bed. Picked up four (4) more on the tube with the two biggest going 14 and 17 inches on the tape.
The other two were about 12 inchers.
