First of 2020

Updated: Apr 10, 2020

Wanted to get out and hit the creek before the rain moves in . I walked into Kilbuck Bluffs lower park because the gates are closed to drive thru traffic due to the COVID19 Lockdown restrictions, if that makes any sense. I had to stick to walking the banks since I don't have any waders at the moment. Next time I get out it should be good for wet wading.

A cold front moved into the area over night dropping the overnight temp down to 30 degrees.

I waited until I saw the river water temp start to rise for the day before heading out. I had a tube tied on which drew a few hits but no hook ups. Tied on a Ned Rig and caught my first smallmouth of 2020 which probably went about 13 inches. Pretty slow bite do to the cold front.

Better luck next time.
