2018: SEASON OF CHANGE

I have been waiting for this day all year, and also dreading this day for longer than I can possibly remember. Things have changed and now I have to change how I go about my fishing.
Last December (2017) I was unable to renew my drivers license due to my poor eye sight. This means no more running to the river when ever the hell I felt/feel like it. That really sucks acorns!
I was really looking forward to getting out and stepping foot in water once again. I thought the day would warm nicely for this time of year but it didn't quite do what I thought it was going to do. The day started of sunny but shortly after I got in the water, clouds had moved in and a good wind had picked up. Both of these (clouds/wind) kept the water temp from going up and making for a difficult fishless outing.

It's always good to get out this time of year to see what changes the Winter weather brought to our streams. There is always new trees that have fallen and new islands that pop up and change the flow of the streams. It was nice to see Kilbuck flowing crystal clear. I also made my way (by way of the 'buck) to the Kish and waded a stretch of that before making my way back to my pick up point. I discovered that my waders leak and was soaked up to my boys, loaded my stuff up in the Jeep when the wife showed up and as we started to drive away, she put up the back window and chopped the tip of my rod off.
So in a nut shell....... I can't drive, I can't fish, I'm soaking wet, and my wife broke my tip. It's gonna be a fun year!
P.S.
Sorry I didn't catch anything and have a nice report for you to read, but I did see a frog....

That's something.
